After having a bad experience at another facility, I was very nervous coming to CareOne Hanover, especially because I am much younger than the majority of the residents. Despite the age difference, I have had a great experience and learned so much from the residents- which I did not expect at all. The first person to take time to greet me and spend time actually getting to know me was Nicole from Admissions. She was so welcoming and compassionate, she showed me around, and really helped calm my nerves. My first morning, the administrator, Margaret, also stopped by my room and had a heart to heart with me and assured me I would be ok. As the days went on, I became more and more comfortable here. The facility is clean, I enjoyed the food and cookouts, and I really feel like they personalized my stay. The nurses and aides are all very caring and attentive in making sure needs are always met. I have to say, Michael from activities, made a huge impact in my stay- his activities and the time he took to spend with me really meant a lot, and I now consider him a life long friend. I am being discharged tomorrow and feel completely at ease. All my doctor appointments, medications, and general aftercare is already in place for me and I am excited to return home and make the best of this new beginning I have been given.
