What is Wound Care Management?

Wound care encompasses the treatment of complex wounds. From complex wounds to surgical incisions, our wound care management teams assess the extent of a wound and devise a personalized plan of care with the necessary interventions for optimal healing.

Education is integral to proper wound care as many patients will need to continue certain care protocols from home. It is also important for wound care physicians to educate their patients on how to minimize the risk of infections and diligently monitor the progression of their healing.

With integrated physician specialists in wound care, infectious disease, vascular surgery, podiatry, nutrition and plastic surgery, we have an expansive network of clinicians to help ensure your healing needs are met. Our onsite wound care physicians monitor and manage your progress to promote safe healing and prevent infection.

We also offer cutting-edge treatments including diathermy, e-stimulation and ultrasound, and specialized equipment and beds including Envella, Clinitron, Dolphin and wound VAC therapy, as well as specialized mattresses and cushions. Our interdisciplinary care team includes nurse practitioners, registered nurses, doctors of rehabilitation, licensed therapists, nutritionists, a culinary team, social service workers and discharge planners to provide a continuum of care for you or your loved one.
