Comprehensive Pain Management

What is Comprehensive Pain Management?

CareOne’s comprehensive pain management program is built on the knowledge that every body, mind, lifestyle, and level of pain tolerance is unique.

Pain management refers to the treatment of chronic or acute pain. From reducing pain levels to enhancing physical function and minimizing reliance on medications, comprehensive pain management uses many pain relief options. They often work together as appropriate.

Pain management is not only specified for certain medical conditions. Additionally, anyone who undergoes an adverse health event may experience pain on some level, which is why it’s important to treat pain on a highly individualized basis.

A comprehensive pain management program typically encompasses a combination of modalities. This includes medication management, physical therapy, occupational therapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, nerve blocks, injections, psychological counseling, relaxation techniques, lifestyle modifications and more. Overall, the goal of a pain management program is to help patients regain control over their lives, improve their ability to function and participate in daily activities, and reduce the impact of their pain on their overall well-being.

Relief for Individual Wellness

Comprehensive Pain Management at CareOne

At CareOne, we are proud to offer a pain management program that leads the healthcare field in terms of scope, effectiveness, and quality of care. We specialize in treating various types of pain, including post-surgical pain, orthopedic and musculoskeletal pain, pain from immune dysfunctions and arthritis, and inflammatory pain.

When possible, we rely on minimally invasive methods. Comparatively, non-opiate medications and non-surgical interventions are often more effective at reducing or eliminating pain and carry lower risks of complications and side effects. We constantly monitor our patients, fostering a high level of trust and adjusting our approach to managing their pain as needed. Through these methods, we are able to deliver many treatments at the bedside, keeping our long-term care residents as comfortable as possible and giving our short-term rehabilitation patients the confidence to get better, faster, and with a reduced risk of rehospitalization.
