Price Transparency
Effective January 1, 2021, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requires hospitals to make their standard charges publicly available. This requirement stems from a final rule issued by CMS on November 15, 2019, which outlines the specific information hospitals must disclose. In accordance with this regulation, CareOne updates its standard charge information at least annually, and more frequently when necessary, to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Please note that certain services provided during a hospital stay may be delivered by independent healthcare providers who are not employed by CareOne. These providers may bill patients separately for their services and may participate in different insurance plans or health maintenance organizations than CareOne.
