CareOne’s COVID-19 Communication

We have created this page as a resource to you and your loved ones so you can follow our policy and procedures during these trying times. We will be updating throughout the days and weeks to come so you know our readiness plan as well as steps you can take to stay safe. Below is a message to all families followed by downloadable PDFs from the CDC, NJDOH, CMS, and CareOne’s Screening Packet.

At CareOne, the health, safety and well-being of our residents, patients, family members and team members is our top priority. During this time of heightened vigilance due to the COVID-19 outbreak, CareOne has enacted a comprehensive plan to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19.

Effective immediately, all CareOne centers will be suspending in-person visitation with the exception of physician visits and hospice care needs. This policy has been put in place out of an abundance of caution to maintain the health, safety and well-being for our residents, patients and staff. All those who do enter any center will be screened and will have their temperature checked – this includes all of our staff members.

Our staff has undergone extensive re-training of enhanced infection control practices and we remain vigilant in monitoring strict adherence to our protocols. We have implemented communication plans within each of our centers to ensure that all family members remain informed about their loved one and in contact with their loved one.

For those in need of help at home, assistance is available through the CareOne Integrated Healthcare Network. Our network of community providers is available to bring home health, palliative care, hospice and pharmacy services to anyone in need.

This is an extremely fluid situation. Know that we in constant communication with the Department of Health in each state we operate as well as the CDC. Please follow CareOne Management on our social media pages for updates at our centers.

We trust that the collective efforts of all healthcare professionals will curb the effect of this new pathogen. We stand ready to care for you and you loved ones at our centers and in the community and hope you will reach out with any questions. Questions can be directed to Patricia Chiorello, SVP of Communications at 201-296-7066.
