Bergen County’s First Assisted Living Apartments for Memory Care
The team from Harmony Village at Paramus is specially trained to work with residents living with memory impairments as well as their families to create a personalized care plan that maximizes independence and works toward quality of life enhancement. The specialized team will be led by site administrator Sindy Vaillencourt who will ensure the new facility upholds the highest in healthcare standards.
Harmony Village at Paramus offers next generation assisted living for the memory impaired, offering innovative memory-care programs designed to help residents maintain the highest possible quality of life, as well as optimal cognitive and physical functioning.
Harmony Village will offer 24 hour certified nursing care, on staff dementia specialists, and innovative technology and practices for all residents.
Harmony Village’s accommodations include 124 private apartments and six distinct “neighborhoods” for residents with varying stages of memory impairment, making it the only dedicated assisted living community for the memory impaired in Bergen County.
Meet Our Staff
John Albanese is the Director of Sales and Marketing. John grew up in a large close knit Italian family, living in close proximity to his grandparents, great-aunts and uncles and has always felt great enjoyment and ease spending quality time with the elders in his life. In his early 20’s, he was inspired by a college professor who impressed on him the importance of helping seniors age with dignity and respect and started his career path graduating with a degree in Communications and Gerontology. He has been an active member of the Bergen County eldercare community for over two decades. For 20+ years, John has been guiding and supporting families to make informed decisions on behalf of their loved ones. John’s compassion and experiences make him a reliable resource for both families and healthcare professions alike.
All who meet the Director of Wellness at Harmony Village at CareOne Paramus are immediately drawn to her disarming smile and positive energy. Kimberly Hayes-Beltzer brings approximately 35 years of nursing experience to her role at Harmony Village. Kim brings a wealth of knowledge to her role as Director of Wellness at Harmony Village. She has served as a Director of Nursing in Long Term Care Facilities, Assisted Livings, and Continuum Care Retirement Communities. Harmony Village Paramus was so excited to have Kim join their leadership team in the Fall of 2018. Kim is well-known and respected in the industry for her ability to connect with families and medical professionals. As a seasoned professional with an excellent bedside manner and strong clinical and communication skills, Mrs. Hayes-Beltzer is an excellent choice as the DOW for Bergen Counties first assisted living serving those with Alzheimer’s and other Memory Impairments.
Joan DiPaola joined Harmony Village as the Dementia Care Specialist. Joan is a Registered Nurse with over 38 years of leadership experience in acute care, long term care, adult daycare, and homecare. She was involved in developing and managing a medical adult day program for individuals with memory impairment in Rockleigh, NJ for over 18 years. Her extensive experience working with men and women with various forms of dementia is instrumental in developing strategies and interventions to ensure each resident’s success in their appropriate neighborhoods. Joan is committed to building individualized programs for every resident based on their personal strengths and life story. Joan will be working closely with all residents, families and care staff of Harmony Village at CareOne Paramus.
Susan Ozer, Sales Counselor for Harmony Village Care One, Paramus comes to us with over twelve years’ experience in Sales and Marketing for Assisted Living, Independent Living and Home Care. Her passion is connecting with families that make life changing decisions. Susan treats everyone with the utmost respect and prides herself with her excellent customer service skills. Susan is very excited about Harmony Village and what it has to offer the Community. In her free time, Susan and her husband enjoy the theatre, movies, live music and a multitude of outdoor activities.
As the Activities Director, Gelina’s enthusiasm is electric! Her excitement and positive energy is contagious. Since she was young, Gelina has had a passion for caring for others and making others smile! Gelina is a graduate of Quinnipac University, where she majored in Health Science with a minor in Sociology. Gelina’s professional experience includes work in both Assisted Living and Long Term/Subacute Nursing Home settings in the activity department. Gelina is a upbeat millennial who has plans of incorporating technology into the daily activity schedules of each resident. Harmony Village of CareOne Paramus is excited to see Gelina’s vision of person centered activities come to life and make a positive impact in the lives of every resident under our care!
As a Senior Director of Wellness, Risa Kory shares her time between The Cupola and Harmony Village at Paramus. In the role of Senior Director of Wellness Risa supports the clinical teams of both communities and strives to have each of their Wellness Departments achieve their highest standards. Risa joined CareOne with 12 years’ experience in the role of a Director of Wellness, and is known throughout Bergen County for setting and achieving high quality care and exceptional customer service. Professionals within the field feel very secure referring a client who will be under Risa’s care and supervision. In both CareOne Bergen County Assisted Livings, Risa plays an active role in interviewing, on-boarding and supporting the Wellness staff and ensures they retain the most passionate and talented team members in the senior care industry.
