Christopher Slavicek, CALA, CDP
Senior Administrator

An avid and reputable leader in senior living, Chris Slavicek conveys over fifteen years of experience advocating for and educating the aging population. Chris is a Certified Assisted Living Administrator and Certified Dementia Practitioner who has held high level leadership positions in the senior living arena and is very well-respected amongst the professional network. He prides himself on the delivery of quality care and superior customer service while cultivating an award-winning team.
Chris is excited to be a resource to the local and greater community in which he resides. He is the Mayor of Helmetta where he embraces the culture of his community through his care and commitment. He wholeheartedly supports Alzheimer’s New Jersey and the drive to make a difference in the lives of each senior and the families he serves.
A proud Uncle to his niece, Hayley, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, dining out and relaxing at the Jersey Shore.
Pat Brightman
Director of Sales and Marketing

For the past 2 decades, families in New Jersey who are looking for senior care, have placed their trust in Pat. She estimates having earned the trust of well over 1,000 families in the often overwhelming process of choosing a Memory Care or Assisted Living community. Pat is fueled by being the experienced and empathetic guide that can make a real difference in the lives of not only the seniors, but their families as well.
Pat loves to cook and bake, often “sharing the love” with her work family.
Tim Yuhas
Director of Sales and Marketing

Tim Yuhas is Director of Marketing and Sales and has worked in the senior living industry for ten years. He has gained a wealth of knowledge throughout his time in the industry which has helped him become successful at marketing. While growing up, Tim was always very close to his grandparents which has made him naturally drawn to seniors.
Tim decided to make marketing his career after assisting his own family in finding the right Assisted Living Community for his Grandmother. Dealing with this process on the other side of things, Tim learned firsthand the struggles and difficulties that can arise when helping a loved one transition to an Assisted Living Community. Tim believes you should treat everyone with kindness and respect and applies that principle to his work.
During his free time Tim enjoys fishing and spending time on the water as well as restoring classic cars.
Mary Kennedy RN, CALA, CDP, CMT
Director of Wellness

Mary Kennedy has 30 years of nursing experience including medical/surgical nursing, home infusion therapy, long term care and assisted living. She has several years of management experience and most of her career has been caring for our senior population. She is a healthcare educator and consultant and enjoys expanding the knowledge of colleagues and healthcare professionals. Mary will lead and guide our dynamic care team in providing the best quality of care and services to our residents and their loved ones.
Emily Baratta, DCS, OTR/L
Dementia Care Specialist

Emily is an experienced Occupational Therapist and Dementia Care Specialist who has worked with the aging population in a variety of settings. Emily is known for her kind heart and compassion towards those living with dementia. She brings her dementia care expertise to assist staff and families by caring for each resident and making sure they meet their individual needs. She will be instrumental in developing personalized care plans for residents using their life story and a positive care approach.
Gary Lessing
Food Service Director

Gary Lessing started working in restaurant kitchens as short order cook in high school and decided to pursue an education in hotel and restaurant management. After graduating from Paul Smith’s College in the Adirondacks Gary spent time working in hotels and restaurants in New York and Central New Jersey. He then took a position helping out a family friend at an Assisted Living Community Bordentown NJ, and after 11 years as the Culinary Services Director, he realized it was much more than a career, but a way to touch.
Gary has been providing upscale dining options for seniors in community settings for over a decade and is excited about bringing those skills and principles to the new and innovative CareOne at East Brunswick Assisted Living Community.
On Gary’s days off you can find him hiking trails with his 4 legged friend, Peter the Chihuahua.
Debbie Cottrell
Assisted Living Recreation Director

Debbie has spent decades listening to, singing with, entertaining, serving and interacting with seniors in various contexts. She has spent time at a local senior center by facilitating and guiding active games. Debbie recognizes the child in all of us and uses a positive attitude to encourage trying new activities, while respecting the dignity, skills and knowledge base belonging to our senior population.
She enjoys the great outdoors, music, games, travel, friendship and strives to incorporate those interests into community life!
Kim Wolf
Harmony Village Recreation Director

Kim’s tenure in the senior living industry includes her most recent oversight of a memory care neighborhood along with having held several frontline positions within the assisted living/memory care arena over the past decade. In 2016, Kim proudly became a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP). She is honored to work with residents and families as they navigate the many challenges that dementia and Alzheimer’s present.
Kim is committed to ensuring stimulating and meaningful person-centered activities and thrives on continuing education that coincides with the latest and greatest best practices for her residents, staff and families alike.
Kim lives in Edison with her son and enjoys spending time with family and friends and being outdoors.
Alissa Roselli
Lead Therapist/Clinical Specialist

Alissa graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017 from Thomas Jefferson University. Alissa has experience working with the geriatric population in the skilled nursing, home health care, and acute rehabilitation settings. She has taken a special interest into progressive neurological disorders and is LSVT Big Certified to assist older adults living with Parkinson’s Disease regain function. Alissa is a lifelong resident of South River and serves in this town on the Board of Health and Mayor’s Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities. In her spare time, you can find her hiking, spending time with her cat Chianti, or trying to perfect new recipes.
