CareOne at New Milford’s Hispanic Program
Caring for our Hispanic community’s rehabilitation ,cultural, and spiritual needs.
We celebrate Hispanic Culture!
Hispanic American Heritage Month, celebrated September 15 through October 15, is a wonderful opportunity for our center to kick off a whole year of cultural discovery and launching of our Hispanic Program. We would like our residents and families to celebrate their own heritage, while appreciating the uniqueness of other cultures.
Our recreation department is excited to provide activities that are culturally geared to enhancing the resident experience! Join us for hora del cafe on Wednesday’s! Enjoy Cafe Bustelo while reading or listening to the news. Reminisce with readings from Hispanic authors, take a step back and relax to the sounds of salsa, tango and bachata or play a round of bingo or dominoes!
We look forward to bringing a variety of Hispanic cuisine to our residents! Dishes are prepared daily by our in-house chef. Residents can look forward to specials such as aros con pollo, chili con carne and bandeja paisa.
The last Wednesday of each month will feature a Spanish catholic mass.
