CareOne’s 5th Annual 5K Race Against Cancer

FORT LEE, NEW JERSEY // CareOne, a premier, family-owned health care company headquartered in Fort Lee, NJ, hosted their 5th Annual 5k Race Against Cancer on October 7th at Overpeck County Park. Over 140 runners completed the race which helped raise over $84,000!

For the past 5 years, CareOne has hosted a charity run with all proceeds benefiting The Gwendolyn And Joseph Straus Charitable Fund.

The Race Against Cancer started in 2014 when an employee at CareOne was undergoing treatment for an aggressive form of cancer. The first year had 150 runners and raised $15,000. Since then, CareOne raised over $224,000 and upwards of 340 runners partaking each year. The course intertwined through the beautiful Overpeck Park and is USATF-certified.
