Wonderful Activities Highlight CareOne’s Assisted Living Week Celebrations

Around the country, Assisted Living Communities celebrate the positive impact our communities have had on so many seniors and families.  CareOne communities marked the week (September 8th to 14th) by hosting a wide variety of activities for residents, families, team members, and the public.

The week kicked off with Grandparent’s Day Celebrations in each community including a concert by USO girls, the Manhattan Dolls, at CareOne at The Cupola in Paramus.  The song selection featured hits from the 30’s and 40’s.  Residents Minnie Sgrambiglia and Alex Brandenburg posed for photos with the girls.

Other events during the week included massages, homemade cooking classes (download Chef Carlos’ Non-cream Pasta Primavera Recipe), chocolate fountains, Poetry workshops, Hot Dog eating contests, and 9/11 memorials.  Residents at CareOne at Livingston studied the work of Rembrandt and created their own masterpieces.

CareOne at Morris hosted a carnival with guest DJ’s from Pathways for Exceptional Children and Carnival Games for the residents.  Residents kept track of their winnings and the Carnival Champion was, Eleanor Aspinwall.

At CareOne Assisted Living communities we live life to the fullest every day.  Contact a local community for a schedule of upcoming activities and join us…
