Stoughton Benefit Planned For Man Battling Cancer

A night of Fostering Hope, Strength, and Compassion, a benefit for Dan Grimes, will be held at Chinatown Restaurant, 103 Sharon St., Stoughton, Thursday, Aug. 21, at 7 p.m. Grimes, 42, a Stoughton man raised in Carver, was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in the spring. The married father of four children, all younger than 11, coaches his children’s football and basketball teams. Since 2006, Grimes has been the regional director of operations for HealthBridge Management, supervising eight out of its 16 skilled nursing facilities throughout the Southeast region of Massachusetts. William Wong, owner of Chinatown Restaurant, will prepare the dishes. There also will be raffles drawings and an live auction. Net proceeds will go directly to the Grimes family.
