CareOne at Morris Honored to Host Charity Benefit for the United Way Caregivers Coalition
Care giving is a universal reality that touches almost every family. Often individuals take on this responsibility without preparation or education, with little help from others, while juggling their own lives. Faced with the challenges of providing care for another, caregivers often put their own physical, mental, and even financial health in significant jeopardy.
Here at CareOne, we have the honor of working with caregivers every day. We help by providing a safe and comfortable place for their loved ones to recover, heal, and live.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of CareOne in at Morris. To celebrate, we brought together our friends, caregivers, and community partners to mark this milestone by hosting a Cocktail Party and Benefit on Wednesday, November 13th. “Our celebration of caregivers has allowed us to give back to the community by supporting the United Way of Northern New Jersey Caregivers Coalition,” said Ann Regan-Jean, Administrator at CareOne at Morris Assisted Living. This regional coalition connects caregivers to resources, services, education, and other support needed to sustain them in their role.
CareOne hosted a silent auction at the event, with all funds raised over $1,500 toward the United Way Caregivers Coalition’s new regional Pathways for Caregivers guide. Caregivers credit this unique guidebook as a lifeline – providing them with invaluable information, ideas, and resources on issues of aging, disability, or mental illness. This new guide will be available free to caregivers, their families, and those who work with caregivers.
Thank you to all of our partners who helped make this evening a great success!
