CareOne At Evesham Launches State Of The Art Intensive Medical Management Unit

CareOne at Evesham recently celebrated the opening of a brand new, state of the art Intensive Medical Management Unit, providing highly specialized medical care for acute patients to facilitate their smooth transition from hospital to rehab to home. The IMMU is designed as a transitional care unit to assist each patient’s adjustment from acute to post-acute care for continued rehabilitation. It provides a heightened degree of medical attention with increased nurse staffing for the initial transition period.

“All new acute patients will be placed in our 20-bed IMMU for the first 48 to 72 hours for assessment and specialized care,” said CareOne at Evesham Administrator Joe Mina. “Many patients who are currently being discharged from the hospital need more demanding care than most traditional rehabilitation centers are able to provide,” he explained. “CareOne at Evesham is proactively addressing evolving, acute care needs with our new, Intensive Medical Management Unit (IMMU). Patients must receive clearance for medical stability from their attending physician to transition to our general sub-acute unit.”

This innovative Unit provides increased nurse staffing and amplified medical attention for the patient’s initial transition period following admission to CareOne at Evesham’s sub-acute care facility. All vital signs are monitored simultaneously so staff can be alerted to changes that may need prompt intervention.
For patients requiring this added level of care, the benefits of the new Intensive Medical Management Unit include:
• 24/7 Physician access
• Specialist on staff
• Increased nurse staffing for the 20-bed unit
• Heightened pulmonary care
• State-of-the-art medical technology
• New room layout to facilitate intensive medical management
• Easy transition from hospital to rehabilitation
• 24/7 access to Customer Service Department
