Girl Scout Earns Silver Award With Help From CareOne At King James
Girl Scout Molly Nowell-Rumson of Troop 883 recently received a Silver Award, the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can earn by showing that she is a leader who is organized, determined, and dedicated to improving her community. CareOne at King James helped Molly earn this prestigious award by working with her to develop a project to enhance quality of life for the center’s residents.
Under the guidance of CareOne at King James staff members, Molly cleared an area of the center’s courtyard and planted flowers that attract butterflies for the residents, their family members and visitors to enjoy. The residents were thrilled with this new addition to their outdoor space. One resident even sketched the garden and presented Molly with her drawing.
“Every time I went to CareOne at King James I felt very welcome and appreciated,” said Molly. “Thanks to their generosity, I was able to plant perennials that can be enjoyed for years to come.”
