CareOne at Ridgewood Avenue and Valley Health System Present Heart Health Education Program For Seniors

CareOne at Ridgewood Avenue and Valley Health System’s Prime Time program recently partnered to present a heart healthy cooking demonstration and nutrition seminar for older adults. More than 50 seniors participated in preparing a delicious heart healthy meal with Ed Mauludi, Director of Food Services, CareOne at Ridgewood Avenue, and also received a recipe to take home.

Following the demonstration, Suzanne Sims, Registered Dietician, CareOne at Ridgewood Avenue, presented a nutrition program focusing on a heart healthy diet. “This program was extremely informative for our members,” said Suzanne Breithaupt, LCSW, Health Educator for Valley Hospital’s Department of Community Health and Community Benefit. Members of Valley Health Prime Time, a free membership program available to individuals over the age of 60, receive social, physical, emotional, mental and educational benefits through an extensive roster of programs.
