CareOne At Moorestown Raises Breast Cancer Awareness!
The CareOne at Moorestown team was proud to participate in National Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities this October. According to breastcancer.org, more than 2.8 million women had a history of breast cancer in the U.S. in 2014. CareOne at Moorestown staff members and their loved ones have been personally affected by this disease, which made it an easy decision for them to join in the fight against breast cancer.
The center’s staff members participated in internal fundraising efforts as well as the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, New Jersey, which attracted 4,660 walk participants and raised $365,835 for the American Cancer Society. Members of the Moorestown Team walked in honor of Jennifer Levy, the building’s Administrator and a breast cancer survivor, as well as other staff members who have battled the disease.
