CareOne At Moorestown CNA Honors Those Affected By Breast Cancer

Amanda Vargas, CareOne at Moorestown Certified Nursing Assistant, enjoys painting in her spare time. After coming across a breast cancer awareness painting on Pinterest, Vargas was inspired to create her own piece, which she presented to the CareOne at Moorestown staff and residents in honor of October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Among the CareOne at Moorestown staff, residents and families, many have been personally impacted by breast cancer and appreciate the sentiment behind Vargas’ painting, “Tree of Hope”. The words painted in the branches – family, warrior, never give up, fight, friends, hope, laugh often, trust, believe, you can, strong, live, love, courage, dream – serve as a meaningful tribute. The painting will be housed and proudly displayed at CareOne at Moorestown every October.

CareOne at Moorestown also held bake sales both this year and last year to raise breast cancer awareness and funds to support the American Cancer Society.
