Assisted Living Services for The Memory Impaired

If you or your loved one are in need of assisted living, CareOne provides comprehensive services throughout New Jersey. Some of our communities offer separate, dedicated units for people living with Alzheimer’s Disease and related memory impairments.

These carefully designed units are tailored to foster each Resident’s abilities, not their disabilities. Everything has been considered in the design of our units – from the color schemes (which provide a soothing environment), to the floor plan (designed to be easy to follow to minimize confusion) to the “touchable artwork” we use to encourage residents to explore.

Activities and recreational activities are a crucial component of our programs. In our Memory Impaired units, our care staff has been trained specifically to work with individuals living with Alzheimer’s and related memory impairments in areas such as effective communication techniques, understanding the Alzheimer’s Disease process and how to effectively work with Residents and their families to ensure their care plan maximizes independence and focuses on life enhancement.

The CareOne difference is best described as a “continuum of care” model for Assisted Living. All CareOne assisted living communities offer multiple “levels” of care within each community. Each Resident is assessed by our Registered Nurse prior to admission to the community to assess their personal care and service needs. A care and service plan is then developed, reviewed with each Resident and Family member prior to admission. Essentially, Residents are only charged for the care and services they choose to receive. All CareOne assisted living communities offer on-site 24 hour a day nursing and certified nursing assistant care.

Each Resident Service Plan is assessed quarterly to determine if health care needs have changed and if additional or less services are required as a result of that change. All service plan recommendations are reviewed with each Resident and their family prior to any changes occurring.

Additionally, all CareOne assisted living communities offer onsite long term care and short term rehabilitation services offered in our adjacent facilities.

We offer a variety of apartment styles in every community, from studio, one bedroom and one bedroom deluxe suites, each apartment features a private bathroom and shower (with assistive devices built in), a kitchenette with a built in refrigerator and microwave oven and emergency response systems.
